Prepare for the winter by making your own herbal remedies and foods. Join us as we sit by the fire, sample herbal wines and learn how to prepare for the winter. In this workshop you will :

  • Learn about the history and benefits of fermentation

  • Learn the basics of lacto fermentation and making your own sauerkraut

  • How to make herbal wines from fresh and dried local, accessible, medicinal and edible herbs

  • Make your own fire cider blend to take home and enjoy!

Class materials include recipes and instructions.

Please note that our home is accessible via NJT, class schedule is designed to accommodate train schedules from the Harriman Station. We will pick you up and drive you back to the station.

All workshops will be outdoors to reinforce social distancing. We will have a fire going to keep us warm, a delicious seasonal vegetarian lunch is also included.
