This retreat weaves together deep listening practices, herbalism, and sound medicine to deepen our relationship with our natural surroundings, ourselves, and our world. Join us as we explore the magical ordinary by connecting to the elements, making herbal remedies, and awakening our creativity with music, song, and mindful listening.
This retreat features:
Guided Deep Listening practices and sound meditation
Working with the elemental aspects of,and correlation between sound, music and plants
Herbal medicine, plant properties and making herbal remedies
Sound Bath and sharing circle
Homemade vegetarian lunch and herbal teas, coffee, and healthy snacks.
This retreat is open to all people with female anatomy and anyone who identifies as a woman.
Alexandra Radoaca
Alexandra is an herbalist, wilderness guide and sound practitioner. She focuses on building health through nourishment and working with local, accessible, abundant plants. She believes that herbalism is accessible to everyone. All we need is to follow our curiosity and get our hands in the dirt, the plants teach us the rest! She is a New York State certified camping and hiking guide and a Wilderness First Responder.
Katie Down
Katie Down (LCAT, MT-BC, MMT, MM) is a licensed creative arts therapist, psychotherapist, and sound healing practitioner. She’s been in private practice for a little over 13 years as a somatic psychotherapist, providing EMDR, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Music and Creative Arts Therapies, Somatic Psychotherapy, Reiki, and Clinical Supervision. She is also an adjunct professor at SUNY New Paltz.
