Women’s spring retreat

Kerhonkson, NY

May 7-9

Join Jodi and Alexandra for a nature immersive weekend in the Catskills. This retreat weaves together yoga, moon rituals, womb and breast herbal care, and movement practices for the pelvic floor with the intention of celebrating and supporting women. We will be sitting by the fire, making our own herbal remedies, and sharing the great outdoors all while eating delicious homemade meals.

The indoor space features a large common room with high ceilings and bathrooms with heated floors. There is an outdoor overhead yoga studio, outdoor eating area and fire pit with sprawling views of the Catskills. All meals are local, homemade and vegetarian.

This weekend retreat will feature the following:

  • Daily Yoga focusing on the first and second chakras

  • Herbal Remedies for Womb and Breast Health

  • A Pelvic Floor Workshop

  • Moon gathering rituals

  • Heart Beat Drum Ceremony

  • 6 Nourishing Vegetarian Meals.

About the Accommodations

  • 2 Person Shared Yurt ($445, 4 spots): A yurt is a traditional round structure built for sustainability, durability and warmth. Yurts were originally created in Turkey and Mongolia and used by nomadic people as long-term settlements. The original translation of the word means “home”. Modern yurts display beautifully designed wood work and can be used to live in year round. They are a wonderful, sustainable way to cozy up to nature without giving up comfort. Each yurt comes with 3-4 double beds with warm bedding and comforters. For safety purposes, we are only allowing for two people in each Yurt.

  • Single Yurt ($460, SOLD OUT): Your very own private yurt! Warm bedding and comforters included.

  • Indoor A Frame ($475, SOLD OUT): This private indoor space features a beautifully hand crafted traditional “A frame” structure typically built to hold warmth while providing a “tiny house” like function and capacity with a queen size bed.

  • 2 Person Shared Canvas Bell Tents ($435, 2 spots): Canvas tents are charming and rustic structures built to accommodate 2-4 people. The thick canvas and wooden platform insulates from the cold and heat retention throughout the night. Each tent comes with 3-4 double beds with warm bedding and comforters. Additional blankets and comforters are available. For safety purposes, we are only allowing for two people in each tent.

  • Main house indoor accommodations ($475, SOLD OUT): If you prefer to stay indoors, the retreat space features 1 rustic private bedroom in the main building.

  • Semi-Private Alcove Studio Space ($435, SOLD OUT): If you prefer to stay indoors, the common room features 1 semi-private alcove loft space in the main building that is accessible by ladder.

  • Bring your own tent ($375, 1 spot left): You can bring your own tent and stay in a private area of the land with full access to indoor amenities.

Transportation and Location:

The retreat space is located 20 minutes from the New Paltz bus station.
We will be sending more details in our welcome email.

** Covid Safety Measures

We will take the following safety measures to ensure everyone's comfort and safety: While yurts and tents will be warm, they are technically outdoor accommodations with sufficient air flow. Given that we are limiting the number of participants this year all accommodations will allow for social distancing. Masks will be required for all communal indoor spaces, unless a minimum 6 foot radius is available. There will be limited access to the kitchen and appliances.  Everyone is required to bring their own mats, masks and bath towels. Meals will be either outdoors or in an open overhead area.

FAQs:

  • What will the indoor yoga practice space look like and how do you ensure social distancing?

Weather permitting we will practice yoga in the covered outdoor space. The indoor space has high ceilings, ventilation and is large enough to accommodate up to 20 people. We are limiting this retreat to 13 people plus 3 instructors. Masks will be required indoors unless a 6 foot radius is available around you.

  • What will the weather be like?

Expect cool temperatures at night and temperatures in the 60’s during the day. There will be plenty of blankets available in the yurts and tents, you can also bring your own. If you bring your own tent please bring a winter or 4 season sleeping bag.

  • Will you have hand sanitizers available?

We will provide each person with one packet of wipes to use in bathrooms and also have sanitizer available. However we encourage everyone to bring your own.

  • What other COVID safety measures (temperature checks, test, etc) will you be implementing?

We will be doing temperature checks throughout the retreat, if we do find that someone has an elevated temperature we will arrange for that person to get home safely.

  • Depending on how things evolve we may require participants to get tested up to a week before the retreat and self quarantine. We may also cancel the retreat.

  • More details will be available in our welcome packet, including a COVID questionnaire and safety measures linked here. All participants and instructors are required to fill out these forms.
