Working with evergreens and mushrooms were some of the many ways our ancestors thrived during winter time. Join us as we explore and share the medicinal and spiritual benefits of evergreens and mushrooms. Evergreens, like cedar and pine have had a relationship with humans for generations, bestowing upon us their many gifts, especially during winter time when food and medicine are scarce. Local abundant mushrooms such as turkey tail, oysters and chicken of the woods nourish us through relationship and their many medicinal and nutrient rich capacities. In this class you will learn:
How to make infused vinegars, salves and teas with evergreens
The medicinal and spiritual benefits of evergreens
The benefits of working with and harvesting local mushrooms
How to make basic mushroom remedies and recipes
