Prepare for the winter woes and learn how to make remedies with roots and berries. Learn how to build health, self reliance and nourish your whole self with easy to make remedies and accessible herbs. Herbal medicine is available to all of us…often right outside our door, it complements and promotes healing in non invasive, gentle ways encouraged by our unique relationship with each herb and remedy.

Class materials also include recipes and instructions. In this class we will learn about nourishing and medicinal roots and berries. We will be making infused vinegars, honeys, tinctures and syrups to last us all winter long. Some of the plants we will be learning about include elder, hawthorn, vitex, schisandra, echinacea, burdock, yellow dock, dandelion and astragalus!

Please note that our home is accessible via NJT, class schedule is designed to accommodate train schedules from the Harriman Station. We will pick you up and drive you back to the station.

All workshops will be outdoors to reinforce social distancing. We will have a fire going to keep us warm, a delicious seasonal vegetarian lunch is also included.
